THE WORKSHOP
Jordana Maisie Design Workshop (JMDW) and Jordana Maisie Design Studio (JMDS) work together through a bifocal approach that integrates clean (drawn: where design and detailing occur with precision in both 3D & 2D) and dirty (experimental: engaging directly with materials and the act of construction) spaces.
The integration fosters a unique process of material exploration and fabrication logics, blending design, craftsmanship and innovation. By combining these spaces, the practice moves beyond diversification, embracing a dynamic approach to architecture and design. It enables seamless creation across scales, from buildings and large installations to furniture, intimate objects and homewares. This hybrid model ensures every piece, whether small or monumental, contributes to a cohesive and powerful narrative.
The JMDW team has a dual focus on design and fabrication that ensures integrity in the creative process, allowing them to fully realize visions without compromise and push boundaries between concept, material, and fabrication. Hands-on creation deepens material knowledge, informing more intentional and innovative decisions in the studio’s architectural and interior design.
JMDW merges an artistically curated narrative with everyday objects, choreographing a new experience with ordinary interactions . Utilitarian objects are sculpted to find a distinctive expression of identity while maintaining functionality and versatility.
THE TEAM

Jordana holds a Master of Architecture, and an MFA in Lighting Design from Parsons School of Design; a BFA in photography from the Glasgow School of Art; and a MFA in Video Production & Sound Engineering from the College of Fine Arts in Sydney.
